What is GALHAS and do I have to pay for it?
GALHAS stands for Galileo High Accuracy Service. It is a completely free, satellite-delivered correction service. If you choose the Geode GNS3H model, you can achieve roughly 20cm positional accuracy anywhere in the world without needing a 4G mobile signal or paying ongoing subscription fees to an RTK network provider
Will the Geode work with the tablet or phone I already own?
Yes. The Geode is designed as a "bring-your-own-device" receiver. It connects via Bluetooth to virtually any modern iOS (iPhone/iPad), Android, or Windows device, allowing you to use the hardware you already know.
Is the Geode suitable for STC25 drainage surveys?
Absolutely. When configured for RTK centimetre accuracy and paired with a network correction service, the Geode provides the highly precise horizontal and vertical (elevation) data required for STC25 cover levels and inverts.
How complicated is the Geode to set up in the field?
It is incredibly simple. The Geode features a one-button design. You simply turn it on, pair it with your device via Bluetooth, open your mapping app, and start collecting data. There are no complicated menus or screens on the device itself.
