Features

Powered by the latest u-blox receiver technology and a precision quadrifilar helical antenna, the Spire tracks all major satellite constellations (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS). This ensures fast satellite acquisition and reliable 1.5cm (RTK) accuracy, even in challenging environments.

Say goodbye to complex equipment setups. The Spire features a simple one-button operation with no external antennas or cables to tangle. It easily captures the precise cover and invert levels required for British STC25 drainage and manhole surveys, sending the data instantly to your chosen mapping app.

The Spire is completely platform-agnostic. It connects effortlessly via long-range Bluetooth to your existing phone or tablet. Whether your team uses Android, Windows 11, or Apple iOS, the Spire integrates seamlessly with standard data collection software.

Never get caught short in the field. The Geode features an internal "Overtime Technology" battery that provides 16+ hours of continuous use on a single charge, easily lasting through long surveying shifts.

Do not let its small size fool you. The Spire is built to withstand harsh British weather and rough building sites. It boasts an IP68 rating (water resistant and dustproof) and meets strict MIL-STD-810H military standards for impact and shock.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Spire and the Geode GNSS receivers?

Both are excellent "bring-your-own-device" receivers. The Spire is Juniper's newest, ultra-lightweight (320g) model aimed at providing a highly portable, cost-effective path to 2cm RTK accuracy. The Geode is their flagship, highly scalable receiver lineup, which offers advanced options like subscription-free GALHAS satellite corrections (on the GNS3H model).

Do I need a special data collector to use the Spire?

No. The Spire is designed to connect via Bluetooth to the tablets and smartphones you already own, including Windows 10/11, Android, and Apple iOS devices.

Is the Geode suitable for STC25 drainage surveys?

Absolutely. When configured for RTK centimetre accuracy and paired with a network correction service, the Spire provides the highly precise horizontal and vertical (elevation) data required for STC25 cover levels and inverts.

How complicated is the Spire to set up in the field?

It is incredibly simple. The Spire features a one-button design. You simply turn it on, pair it with your device via Bluetooth, open your mapping app, and start collecting data. There are no complicated menus or screens on the device itself.
